Mature with time~

I just give a piece of advice to my junior: “You will learn so many things if you are willing to learn. Willingness is the key in here.”

If she asks for my advice 2 or 3 years ago, I wouldn’t answer her that way. It’ll be different coz at that time I wouldn’t even give a damn in this kind of things. I’ll just go with the flow (right now too, I’ll still go with the flow..haha… Well, that’s my real self..).

The point is that, the answer that we’ll give for the same question will be different depending on our maturity. When we can see things more clearly.. When we can foresee what behead us if we act this way or that way.

To put it in a nutshell, the older you became the more matured you are. It can be seen from the behaviour and the way of thinking. When you reach at the age where you start to understand the real world, then you will be like me.

Alone~

Let yourself be alone. Loneliness is not a bad thing. It is healthy and normal. Everyone needs to spend a good portion of their life alone. We learn who we are when we are alone; life is less crowded and more clear when we are alone.

Now you see me...

Come in close.

Closer…

Because the more you think you see, the easier it’ll be to fool you.

Because, what is seeing?

You’re looking but what you’re really doing is filtering, interpreting, and searching for meaning.

My job???

To take that most precious of gifts you give me; your attention.

And use it against you.

The closer you look, the less you see.

Sweet is a burden...

“You have a sweet smile. You are such a sweet girl. Because of that it’s hard to believe that you don’t have someone special. You should have one at your age.”

That’s what they’ve said to me.

But that’s the truth.

With a lot of opposite sex friends and yet I’m still single.

Don’t ask me why as me too still searching for the answer at this moment.

Even my parent starts to worry.

They wonder if I’ll be forever alone.

Well… They worry over the thing that they shouldn’t – that’s what we called parent.

Anyway, if we put that aside, I assure you that I’m still happy with my life.

Less things to worry about.

I’m very sure that one fine day, I’ll meet my own prince charming.

The time will come.

Just be patient and go with it.

Don’t rush a thing.

We are not supposed to rush a thing that doesn’t need rushing.

But this thought struck mine; maybe because I’m so sweet that I’m still single.

Sweet is not good for your health.

That’s one of the reasons given by the government when they cut down the subsidy for the sugar.

So, the boys afraid they might get diabetes if they have the relationship with me.

That thought conclude my day as I think it’s rather funny somehow.

Beauty is a social construct...

You want another scoop of ice-cream? Go get it. Get three more scoops of ice-cream if that is what you want. “Fat” is not the opposite of beautiful and it is not the opposite of happy. Don’t let anyone tell you that your body type isn’t beautiful. Beauty is a social construct, create your own, become your own.

F.I.R.S.T

Firsts are going to be messy. First loves, first kisses, first dates, first failed tests, first college class, first time you drive a car, first time you ride a plane - first times were made to be imperfect. Just because it’s messy and all over the place, doesn’t mean it can’t be good or worthwhile.

Don’t waste time trying to explain the problem, fix it instead...

Don’t waste time trying to explain the problem, fix it instead - When you come across a problem, people appreciate it more when you spend your time wisely, trying to fix the problem rather than reporting the issues to someone else (like your boss). In the time constrained society that we live in today, every second counts and a second spent talking rather than doing is a second wasted. And that’s exactly what I’ve done today- fix the problem that I made. The best thing is that, no one knows my mistake as it already being taken care of. I’m really proud of myself. *clap..clap..clap*
